How To Vote! (Sun Oct 31, 2004 4:50 pm)

We live in the United States of America. No one can tell you for whom to vote, not your friends, not your spouse, not your boss, not priest, bishops, government, or pope! For whom you vote hangs on your conscience alone. Everyone says that this election will be a biggie. The whole wide world is watching. But not even the whole wide world can tell you for whom to vote.

But we can suggest how to arrive at a decision.

Assuming that you are a good and honest person and seek the common good of all as well as your own, you know the following factors are key:

  1. WORLD PEACE;
  2. SAFETY AND WELFARE OF YOURSELF, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR COMMUNITY (This includes healthcare, social security, justice, environment);
  3. FREEDOM TO LIVE YOUR LIFE WITHOUT OPPRESSION;
  4. EDUCATION AND FUTURE OF CHILDREN;
  5. HONESTY AND INTEGRITY OF THE CANDIDATES.

Those who try to live their lives according to what Christ taught will add another even more important issue: LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER.

Ask yourself, "Which candidates will lead our country forward on these issues and especially bring more love and compassion into the world?"

That's how to vote!
